Project Manager/Vertical Markets Team


We are seeking a Project Manager to support the execution of complex projects and programs on our Vertical Markets team. This team works with clients selling technology products and services to such vertical industries as healthcare, manufacturing, government, and education. This is a fast growing, dynamic team that supports client strategic initiatives, the driving of technology, product and solution messaging targeted at unique vertical markets, building various sales tools (presentations, white papers, demos, case studies), and managing internal client portals.

The Project Manager for Vertical Markets will manage existing projects that are both short-term, with high-pressure deadlines, and long-term, involving many moving parts and stakeholders. He/she will be responsible for creating and reinforcing processes and timelines associated with these projects, while ensuring that clients are in-the-know and working with vendors and internal team members are always informed and on-task.

The Glue That Holds it Together

BuzzBee project managers are responsible for the planning, coordination and controlling of projects from inception to completion, meeting the project’s requirements and ensuring completion on time, within cost and to required quality standards. You will ultimately be responsible for communicating project information to your account team, client and key stakeholders, overall quality control, monitoring progress of the project, meeting all deadlines, budgeting, decision-making, resource management, risk aversion and coordination with the account team and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities Include
Coordination of recommendations, planning, development and execution of projects and campaigns in accordance with the client's objectives and budget parameters
Ownership of large, complex projects
Communicating client and agency needs effectively
Briefing all team members on the specifics of a job and preparing all necessary documentation
Informing team members of project status and helping managing stakeholder expectations
Developing and updating project/campaign schedules, overall timelines, work-back schedules and obtaining sub-contractor estimates
Responsible for keeping track of the account finances, approving invoices and assisting in the billing process
Conducting internal project kickoff and sunset meetings
Writing weekly status reports
Watching for any potential scope changes and communicating that early with account team and management; developing options/solutions for addresses scope change to client
Following the agency process to open and close a project, selecting an agency-approved vendor, creating POs, sunset meeting documentation and completing vendor scorecards.


Candidates for the Vertical Project Manager must bring:

Experience

Minimum 7 years project management experience
Experience managing large projects with many moving parts and stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Agency experience preferred; working directly with clients
Experience working with and/or managing vendors
Understanding of marketing communications practices & sales tool development
Technology industry experience preferred
