Senior Accountant

We are seeking an Senior Accountant to drive our accounting efforts on our Operations Team. This is a fast growing, dynamic team that serves as a service organization, supporting our marketers and consultants by maintaining a smoothly running business.

The ideal candidate will support monthly and year end accounting activities in order to close in a timely fashion while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The position will supervise and support activities in all aspects of the accounting organization to ensure that departmental goals and objectives are met. This position also requires a highly self motivated individual with an ability to handle multiple tasks in an ever changing and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate should have a good operational command of the business and have the ability to supervise and support various members of the department.

He/she will be responsible for creating and reinforcing processes and timelines associated with all accounting functions, while ensuring that team members and management stay informed. Responsibilities Include:

Supervise accounting department including bookkeeper and accounting assistant
Oversee and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, benefits and 401K
Prepare reporting and payment of all local, state and federal taxes
Work with controller on asset depreciation schedules and policies; maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
Prepare and execute journal entries
Support Controller and CFO with month-end and year-end close functions
Support Controller to ensure successful completion of the company’s tax filings
Prepare first draft of monthly management financial package
Maintain job cost system and reporting
Update and manage traffic reporting
Prepare first draft of cash flow statement
Manage the execution of vendor contracts and purchase orders
Complete monthly bank reconciliations

Candidates for the Marketing Manager must bring:


Minimum 4 years accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Professional services experience preferred
Solid communication, technology, customer service organizational and analytical skills
