Account Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops account growth strategy and account planning in support of account group goals
  • Identifies new business opportunities and scopes project requirements with clients
  • Regularly networks and participates in community and industry events
  • Serves as the project and deliverable-level strategist on client work
  • Determines key marketing, business, and program strategies that will guide clients toward meeting their business objectives
  • Ensures client work meets BuzzBee and client quality standards
  • Facilitates consistently smooth customer engagements and works with manager to appropriately assess risk and complete negotiations
  • Participates in deploying appropriate talent to meet client needs and firm financials
  • Supports the growth of team member competencies and supervises team members on day-to-day work as assigned. Mentors team members
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and members of the BuzzBee internal team to define, scope, and create gloat-worthy work
  • Works with different members of our team and integrates feedback well
  • Brings an A-game attitude to work everyday

Critical Competencies

  • Fit in with our collaborative, transparent, apolitical, dog-loving culture
  • 5+ years of experience in account management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent
  • Fluency with enterprise software, cloud-based services and understanding of technical and decision-making IT audiences is a major plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with internal team, partners, and clients
  • Exceptional self-management skills, including diehard commitment to adhering to deadlines and prioritizing effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and with limited direction at peak performance
  • High tolerance for nerdiness
