Microsoft Exchange Conference - Reinvigorating a community

Situation

When the Exchange team decided to bring back the Exchange Conference (MEC) from a 10 year hiatus, they needed to revive interest and engagement in the conference. To do that, the team called on BuzzBee to create a lasting and memorable customer experience. It called for a more interactive model to build excitement for the new Exchange features and celebrate how the user community used those features.

Solution

BuzzBee created the overall conference theme and branding, leveraging what existed first. That followed with developing the demand gen strategy, with low impact on resources, but high impact results. BuzzBee worked with the Exchange Team to plan the event, revamp the overall look of their diagrams and presentations, reboot their approach to conference sessions, and deliver engaging presentations and tools to the event speakers. Social media drove the community feel of the event, with BuzzBee promoting Twitter activity and reflecting community-generated content in highlight reels of the conference. All in all, BuzzBee helped deliver a wildly successful conference that enabled the Exchange team to focus on networking with audience members and reinvigorating their brand.
