Question: What’s behind the name BuzzBee?
Answer: Michele’s maiden name is Bourdon. In French, it means bumblebee. You know, the inveterate worker that never stops pollinating.
Around the turn of the new century, Michele Bourdon Keeffe had an idea. What if there were one agency, focused on technology marketing, that offered the strategic council of a consulting firm while also providing the execution tactics of creative, PR and marketing firms?
In the year 2000, Michele started BuzzBee, and, as CEO, she’s never looked back.
With three dozen employees located at our main office in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, BuzzBee serves clients in Washington, Oregon, and California.
We’ve repeatedly been recognized as a great place to work. For four out of the last five years, BuzzBee has been honored as one of Seattle Business Magazine’s “100 Best Companies To Work For.” We’ve also received an Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility. In addition, Michele has been named one of ten “Women to Watch” by Seattle Business Magazine.
